Today we have finished the first stage of EuropeanaLocal survey on the Polish digital resources. We have surveyed over 20 of such initiatives. This data should significantly ease the connection of Polish digital libraries to Europenana.

Since few days on the website of Polish Digital Libraries 2008 conference video recordings of conference speeches are available. On the conference website there are also conference presentations and photos. We encourage you to look at these materials!
Initial results of the EuropeanaLocal technical survey, shows that the dLibra software may be the most popular digital library software package in Europe – at least among the digital libraries interested in joining Europeana and willing to respond to the survey 
.
The most popular solution are the dedicated software systems developed for the need of particular digital libraries, not distributed publicly as “out-of-the-box” software packages. Second place is for dLibra with its several tenths of deployments in Poland. World popular systems like Greenstone or dSpace are used only be several among the institutions, which answered to the survey.
